High Dynamic Range Images
This page provides the images used in the following publications:

- M. S. Drew, Chao Chen, S. D. Hordley and G. D. Finlayson, Sensor Transforms for Invariant Image Enhancement. In Proceedings of the Tenth Color Imaging Conference, pages 325-330, 2002.
There are 11 images in 16 bit tiff format although the image data is only 12 bit (digital counts range from 0 to 4095). The images were recorded with a HP 912 Digital Still Camera and have been demosaiced. Digital counts should be approximately linear with respect to light intensity. No processing beyond demosaicing and linearisation was performed on the images. Download the images.
For further information about the images please contact Prof. Graham Finlayson.
Permission to use the images is granted subject to the condition that any publications in which the images are used (or which contains details of work for which the images were used) cites this web page and any appropriate publications.
Multispectral Image Database
Click on the images below for a MATLAB .mat file containing full spectral resolution reflectance data from 400nm to 700nm at 10nm steps (31 samples). The image matrix for each object is 31xWIDTHxHEIGHT. The images have been captured in a VeriVide viewing booth with a black cloth background under CIE illuminant D75. Each image has been captured twice: once with a white tile and once without. The illuminant has been estimated from the white tile and the spectral data divided by this estimate, in order to arrive at reflectance measurements. The images below are displayed sRGB values rendered under a neutral daylight (D65). A more detailed description of the data set and the device used to capture it can be found in:
